About Us... Welcome to Flower Power Fairs
I am an organiser of 'specialist' plant fairs throughout the North of England enabling serious plant enthusiasts and keen gardeners to meet up with growers and nurserymen to buy the latest in plants and shrubs as well as old favourites that have been around a long time but increasingly difficult to buy from conventional garden centres. All the growers offer quality plants, grown in the UK, and usually propagated and nurtured by themselves. Many of them offer unusual plants, not normally seen elsewhere, and all of them are knowledgeable gardeners. So don't be shy, ask them everything you need to know; they are always pleased to share their knowledge and tips. The fairs takes place at amazing venues - usually with a wonderful garden to wander through - which also helps to give us all inspiration. There are usually cafes or tea rooms to enjoy a little rest before you go around the stands again.

At some of the fairs we also have accessory stands, or as at Raby and Worsall Hall, we offer you food and gift stands too. The events are already looking good with several nearly full already and I am delighted with the quality of nurseries booking in to them. More Information... 2018 will be my 11th year running the Fairs. It never gets any easier organising events and I'm always a nervous wreck before each event despite having great nursery friends and some wonderful and dedicated customers. I can honestly say that although organising fairs has its many highlights and lowlights, I wouldn't want to do anything else. Its always a pleasure to welcome familiar faces to the fairs, whether as a plant specialist, accessory stand or a customer, and I hope that I can encourage those of you who haven't been to one of the fairs to come and see for yourselves why these small plant fairs are so popular.

The great thing about plant fairs is that you are bound to find plants that you won't find in the larger retail outlets. Where else could you go to get so many wonderful plants to choose from, in an inspirational setting, with friendly nurseries, free garden advice and great refreshments and usually for just the normal admission fee to the gardens?

As usual the plant fair will be held on the lawns in front of the Hall and will feature many of the best individual plant nurseries from the Midlands and the North. Always offering you choice plants and shrubs, and of course advice on how to get the very best out of the plants you buy. Some will be unusual, some even rare, but all have been grown by the people who sell them and offer excellent value for money, locally grown with low mileage. Holme Pierrepont has the most delightful spring garden full of snowdrops, crocus, miniature iris and unusual spring flowering shrubs and trees. Collections of Camella and interesting topiary throughout the garden. The inner courtyard garden makes an attractive entrance into the Hall where the toilet facilities are. Refreshments served throughout the day. Entries for the plant fair are now closed. We are fully booked.
