Business Profile

ITS TEST KITS DELIVER HIGH QUALITY DRUG & ALCOHOL TESTING SOLUTIONS Highly Accurate, Specific, Sensitive and Reliable. Competitively priced drug testing solutions for when accuracy and quality is your priority. Here at ITS Test Kits you will see our innovative and high-quality range of products and solutions are manufactured by our exclusive partners in the USA and Europe. This ensures a consistent approach to a responsible, responsive and auditable supply chain.

In the ever-evolving market of drugs of abuse, our partners have led the industry in developing new tests and creating more effective panel configurations. This ensures our customers are able to test for the most relevant drugs of abuse, using innovative and quality led testing solutions.

Unlike many generic products, ITS Test Kits and Solutions include a range of products, specifically manufactured for the European market. They are aligned to European Workplace Drug Testing Society (EWDTS) guidelines for laboratory screening. Utilising the recommended EWDTS laboratory screening cut off levels, where possible, rather than the higher generic cut off levels found in many other point of care testing kits, ITS Test Kits aim to provide our customers with products that are specific to the country in which they operate. This also helps to provide a key element to the legally defensible process.

About Us ITS Test Kits was created to bring high quality testing kits and solutions directly to the customer. This gives confidence to make informed decisions both quickly and reliably.

ABOUT ITS TEST KITS
Innovative Testing Solutions, also known as ITS Test Kits or even ITS for short, is a UK based business. We deliver innovative, evidence based, high quality rapid diagnostic products, often referred to as "Point of Care", to customers in the UK, Ireland and further afield. ITS primary focus is on solutions for the drugs and alcohol testing and associated markets. Founded by a team of highly experienced and knowledgeable professionals, ITS provide customers with innovative "first to market" solutions for accurate and reliable screening.

WHAT IS IT ABOUT ITS TEST KITS THAT HELPS US UNDERSTAND OUR CUSTOMERS?
We know customers want testing to be right first time. The person doing/being tested, must have confidence in the performance of the kits they are using. Point of Care products are never 100% accurate when comparing to a more expensive laboratory "confirmation" test. We have conducted numerous quality control checks across many of these inferior kits. Quality and consistency of many Point of Care testing kits can vary hugely. Inaccurate kits give both "false positive" and "false negative" results that are not truly reflected in their published data. We understand this because our team have been using and selling testing kits for almost 20 years.

Having access to our exclusive range of innovative products and solutions will result in customers being at the leading edge when it comes to their testing requirements.

QUALITY VS COST?
"It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money - that's all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot - it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better." John Ruskin

Quality has a cost but that does not mean it has to be expensive. By supplying high quality, specific, sensitive and accurate market leading products and testing solutions, ITS Test Kits provide true value for money that will benefit our customers in far more ways than just the initial perceived purchase price.

WE ALWAYS AIM TO RAISE THE STANDARDS AND NOT JUST MEET THEM!

WINNERS: ENVIRONMENT/LOW CARBON AWARD ITS are delighted after being announced the winners of the Environment/Low Carbon Award at the Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards 2018. Selected for our upcoming, Protzek GreenCheck product range which will drastically reduce the amount of single use plastic and carbon footprint for ourselves and our customers.

THE WORLD'S FIRST ORAL FLUID TEST WITH FDA (510K) CLEARANCE FOR 8 DRUGS ITS are delighted and very proud to announce that our Premier Biotech OralTox drug test is the first ever to gain FDA (510k) clearance for 8 drugs.
No other oral fluid test device can currently match the scope of drugs that meets the very stringent and strict FDA (510k) clearance. These now include: Amphetamine, Cocaine, Cannabis/Marijuana, Methadone, Methamphetamine, Opiates, Oxycodone and Phencyclidine - and we are expecting this to increase into 2019. No other device has been able to achieve this.

Our OralTox device is currently capable of testing up to 12 drugs in one device, from a combination of: Amphetamine, Barbiturates, Benzodiazepines, Buprenorphine, Cocaine, Cannabis/Marijuana, Fentanyl, Ketamine, Methadone, Methamphetamine, Opiates, Oxycodone, Phencyclidine, Spice/Synthetic Cannabis (K2) and Tramadol. And we are constantly working on more!

This exciting news further demonstrates that both ITS and our partners are constantly achieving the highest quality targets with industry leading innovative products and services for the Drug and Alcohol testing market. By focussing on QUALITY and INNOVATION, our customers continue to benefit from our industry leading products and services. DRUG & ALCOHOL POLICY WRITING, REVIEW, DEVELOPMENT AND/OR MAINTENANCE However small or large, every business or organisation should take practical steps (as far as is reasonably practicable) to minimise the risks associated with Drug and Alcohol use / Substance misuse. This does not need to be expensive and should be seen as an investment. Failure to take these steps can become very costly (both financially and commercially) indeed.

Whether starting from scratch or looking to review, develop or maintain an existing Drugs & Alcohol Policy / Substance Misuse Policy (and Procedures) ITS can do it all for you, or advise you upon guidelines to follow. With over 15 years of experience and having advised upon and/or written such policies and procedures for some very large "blue chip" companies and organisations, our friendly team will guide you through all the necessary steps. Legal, robust and relevant policy and procedures in place will allow your staff to deal with any future Drug and Alcohol / Substance misuse related problems that may occur in a consistent, professional, responsible and legally defensible manner.

Some features and benefits of working with us are:

• Legally defensible Drug & Alcohol Policy design and review
• Organisational culture
• Human Resources compliance
• Health & Safety compliance
• Improved productivity and loss control
• Structured policy implementation
• Empowered decision making
• Clear guidelines and procedures
• Roles and responsibilities
• Protecting both employers and employees
• Multi-party consultation (including unions)
• Long term working parties / groups
• Ongoing support and information

Getting the Drug & Alcohol Policy and Procedure element right is at the heart of successful management of drug and alcohol / substance misuse in the workplace / organisation. A few lines or paragraph within the H&S Policy is rarely sufficient nor legally defensible. And "off the shelf" policies often miss specific details relevant to your industry and leave things wide open for challenge. Consequences of getting it wrong can be severe. So why chance it? Pricing on application. In the first instance, please contact us to arrange a confidential and no obligation chat.

Alcohol Breathalyser re-calibration services Recalibration (or Calibration) of your Intoximeter FST alcohol breathalyser should be a necessary and scheduled part of your processes to enable accurate and legally defensible breath test results. Over time, an alcohol breathalyser may lose accuracy around the last calibration. This is normal. The reasons for testing will dictate how often you should accuracy check and also recalibrate / calibrate your Intoximeter FST alcohol breathalyser. Whilst different manufacturers will recommend different time frames for calibration, this is what Intoximeters recommend for the FST range:

Where the alcohol breathalyser is being used for workplace (or similar) and the results may be used for legally defensible / disciplinary purposes then the unit should be accuracy checked then recalibrated / calibrated every 6 months.
Where the alcohol breathalyser is being used for monitoring purposes only (e.g. a clinic environment) and the results will not be used for legally defensible / disciplinary purposes then the unit should be accuracy checked then recalibrated / calibrated every 12 months.

Here at ITS, we provide 3 levels of Intoximeter FST alcohol breathalyser Recalibration / Calibration services to suit the differing needs and requirements of our customers. Click on each of the below to find out more:

FST Premium Plus Re-Calibration Service
FST Premium Re-Calibration Service
FST Standard Re-Calibration Service

Customers who subscribe to our very popular and convenient Calibration Programme Management Service benefit from further discounts and unique value-added services over and above our "ad-hoc" services. Please contact us for further information about how we can help you / your business maintain "headache" free compliance (and record keeping) and for a bespoke quote to meet your exact requirements.

DRUG & ALCOHOL AWARENESS TRAINING AND EDUCATION DRUG & ALCOHOL AWARENESS
In our opinion, sound education, through drug & alcohol awareness and training is vitally important to the success of any Drugs and Alcohol Policy. Training and education is necessary and in some cases required by regulations, for Drug Free Workplace Programs.

Employees need support to help them recognise the benefits of a robust Drug & Alcohol Policy. They need to understand their rights, role and responsibilities, both morally and legally. Employers must not take employee's knowledge for granted, it's a management responsibility to equip all directors, managers and supervisors with the correct knowledge and skills to ensure the Policy is robust.

Our highly experienced trainers have delivered 1000's of courses, to both small and large audiences. From one-hour policy awareness sessions, to large scale national training programs. We work closely with you and your teams to achieve the required outcomes and to demonstrate due diligence. We always deliver with passion and up-to date knowledge. Training can be delivered on-site or at other suitable facilities.

MANAGEMENT TRAINING
ITS deliver structured management training courses to equip Managers and Supervisors with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective drugs and alcohol policy maintenance. Experienced and qualified trainers ensure the outcomes of competence-based training enable candidates to:

1. Recognise Employers' legislative responsibilities through HASAW
2. Identify the signs and symptoms of substance misuse
3. Understand the role of Directors/Management/Supervisors and Employees in the implementation of policy
4. Ensure laid down procedures can be followed with confidence

Our typical drugs and alcohol foundation course has a duration of four hours and is designed for a target audience of around 12 candidates, although more is possible. It is considered of high value that all staff involved in For-Cause/With-Cause Drug & Alcohol Screening should attend this course. Other shorter courses and briefings addressing "signs & symptoms" etc are also available. Bespoke packages to suit are a specialty of ITS, and are created to meet your specific objectives.

STAFF BRIEFINGS
Co-ordinated briefing sessions are designed in a way that all attendees:

1. Understand the intended method of policy application
2. Appreciate the types of support systems available to individuals with known related problems
3. Recognize the consequences of policy non-compliance

Briefing sessions can be delivered to groups of varying sizes, we have delivered to audiences of 150. All sessions are supported by visual aids and the distribution of related drugs and alcohol literature. ITS deliver staff briefings as part of the overall education and training program. At approx. 1-1.5hr in length, the briefings allow staff to get a better understanding of the policy and engage by asking questions.

Please Contact Us to discuss your exact requirements and let us help you to structure what you need.

CHAIN OF CUSTODY TRAINING AND COMPETENCY (Collection Officer Training) Chain of Custody Training

Correct sample collection and completion of paperwork are crucial to the legal defensible process of drugs and alcohol testing. ITS offer a half day Chain of Custody training course which includes product awareness. This course instructs delegates in the processes required to ensure legal defensibility using testing products and equipment. The course is aimed at groups up to 12 persons and can be delivered "on-site" or at other suitable facilities.

Course Aims

Delegates will become aware of:

The type of drug testing employed by their employer / company / organisation
The need to perform a legally defensible drug and alcohol test
The processes and equipment involved in taking a breath and oral fluid and/or urine sample
The requirements of a robust and concise Drug and Alcohol policy
Course Objectives

At the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

Correctly interview a donor and record the required data using Chain of Custody forms.
Perform a legally defensible Alcohol breath screen test using a UK Home Office approved breathalyser.
Read and record breath test results, recognising where further testing may be required.
Prepare a toilet facility for urine sample collection (if urine testing).
Perform a legally defensible drug screen test using the ITS urine or oral fluid "point of care test" for on-site screening.
Read and record a negative/non-negative result from the ITS urine or oral fluid "point of care test" for on-site screening.
Split a urine/oral fluid sample into an A and B sample (using a UKAS accredited laboratory's confirmation kit), complete paperwork and prepare ready to send to a UKAS accredited laboratory for confirmation services.

All delegates who meet the required standards will receive a certificate of attendance. It is, however, important to understand that this course cannot ensure competency as competency only comes from experience and practice. ITS can also provide independent and impartial competency management services and audit as part of our full service support offering. We can also advise you on your current processes - we often find that companies can improve upon their existing processes. Please contact us in confidence to discuss your specific requirements.
