Premiere Dance School in the High Peak Welcome to Buxton's premiere dance school, offering dance classes in Ballroom & Latin, Salsa and Wedding dances across the High Peak, Manchester and Sheffield. There are short-cuts to happiness, and dancing is one of them. Beginners' Ballroom & Latin - Adults - Tuesdays - 8-9pm - Buxton's URC Hall - £6 When many people think of Ballroom dancing, they picture their Grandparents in the 1950's going to a stuffy dance on a Friday night because there was nothing else for them to do. But thanks to shows such as BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, this often misunderstood style has never been so popular and never been easier to master. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the basic steps of the Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba and Jive! One Ballroom and Latin dance is taught each week, with practice, repetition and a whole load of laughter it quickly becomes second nature and you will be amazed how much you can learn in such a short space of time.

Though it may seem a style suited to adults, it is becoming increasingly popular with children. With a little hard work and a lot of fun we hope to offer the opportunity for Wallflower's mini movers to compete and represent the school. So join us and help revive the most elegant of social pastimes and get the whole of the HIgh Peak Ballroom dancing.

SALSA - Thursdays - Beginners' 8-9pm - Intermediates 9-10pm - Number 13 Buxton - £5 There are many different styles of Salsa, at Wallflower Dance we specialise in Cross Body. With the help from our professional instructor you will quickly progress from the basic steps to some more advanced variations. Salsa dancing has become a social phenomenon all over the world and taking lessons is a great way to meet new people, there's no need to bring a partner. We often organise social trips to Sheffield and Manchester, where we can put our new moves into practice; being able to lose yourself, forget about steps and just dance is an amazing and uplifting feeling.

Wedding Lessons We understand that the first dance can be a daunting propect for many couples. Wallflower Dance will ease your nerves and choreograph a bespoke routine that best suits your needs and requirements. Whether it's just the happy couple, the bridal party or the entire guest list, we will work with you to create a unique experience for you and your guests. Whether you want to avoid the awkaward shuffle by dancing a couple of basic steps, or you want an extravagent performance with dips and tricks, we will cherish every detail to ensure that your big day is the memorable and wonderful occasion you have been dreaming of.

Private Lessons We also offer private lessons to individuals, couples or small groups. If you have missed a few classes and want a catch up or you're struggling with a couple of steps, one to one tuition with your teacher will put those worries at ease

Parties/Functions/Workshops Kids birthday parties, Anniversaries, Golf Club Socials, Corporate Team Building... We can provide a bespoke service for your special occasion, ensuring an entertaining and unique experience for you and your guests.

Whether you are a primary school, guides club or university salsa society we can provide a professional teacher to run a course of workshops or just a one off session as a guest teacher, in a dance style of your choice.
